12.30 - arrival of US President George W. Bush and his wife by special aircraft at Brnik Airport; welcome with guard of honor, the guests being received by President of the Republic of Slovenia Milan Kučan and his wife and Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia Dr. Janez Drnovšek (Prime Minister Dr. Drnovšek to accompany US President Bush to Brdo pri Kranju) 13.00 - arrival of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin by special aircraft at Brnik Airport; welcome with guard of honor, the guest being received by President of the Republic of Slovenia Milan Kučan PHOTO OPPORTUNITY (FOR PHOTO JOURNALISTS AND TV CREWS) NOTE: Accredited photographers and TV crews who wish to record and film the arrival of the two presidents will have to arrive at the location in an organized group. Special bus transportation from Ljubljana will be laid on for this purpose. Buses will leave at 10.00 taking photographers and TV crews to Brnik Airport (press members who wish to cover the arrival of presidents Bush and Putin can obtain special accreditation badges directly before the buses depart). We would ask members of the press to assemble at least 10 minutes before the buses depart, on Erjavčeva ulica (the street next to the Cankarjev dom center) in Ljubljana. A special space at the airport will be allocated for photographers and TV crews, and this will be marked off by rope. A raised platform will be set up in this space to facilitate optimal camera angles. Other members of the press will be able to view the arrival of presidents Bush and Putin on TV monitors at the press center in Cankarjev dom. Buses for press members should leave the airport at about 13.30, going back to Ljubljana (Cankarjev dom) or to Brdo pri Kranju. 13.00 to 14.15 - bilateral talks (at the mansion of Brdo pri Kranju): PHOTO OPPORTUNITY FOR POOLS 1 and 2 (At 15.00 Prime Minister Dr. Janez Drnovšek will hold a press conference in the Zois restaurant at Brdu pri Kranju. Following the bilateral meetings, President of Slovenia Milan Kučan will also make a statement to the media in the Zois restaurant at Brdu pri Kranju - we will inform you of the exact time as soon as it is known). 14.30 to 16.30 - summit meeting between US President George W. Bush and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin (at the mansion of Brdo pri Kranju) PHOTO OPPORTUNITY FOR POOLS 1 and 2 NOTE: we would ask press members who are in POOLS 1 and 2 to assemble at 10.45 by the information desk at the press center in Cankarjev dom (where they will receive special accreditation badges). At 11.00 a bus will depart from outside Cankarjev dom taking press members in the two pools to Brdo pri Kranju. 17.00 - press conference given by presidents Bush and Putin following their talks (next to the Brdo mansion) NOTE: Accredited journalists, photographers and TV crews who wish to record and film the arrival of the two presidents will have to arrive at the location in an organized group - by 16.30 at the latest. Special buses from Ljubljana will be laid on for this purpose. Buses taking members of the press will depart Ljubljana every 10 minutes between 13.00 and 14.30. We would ask members of the press to assemble on Erjavčeva ulica (the street next to the Cankarjev dom center) in Ljubljana. Press members will also be able to follow the press conference with presidents Bush and Putin via TV monitors in the press center at Cankarjev dom. We suggest that members of the press who wish to cover the press conference with Prime Minister Dr. Janez Drnovšek at 15.00 and the statement by President of Slovenia Milan Kučan in the Zois restaurant at Brdu pri Kranju take the buses departing Ljubljana just after 13.00). We would like to inform you that from 15.00 onwards in the marquee at Hotel Kokra at Brdo pri Kranju an auxiliary press center will be in operation, equipped with all the requisite communications infrastructure. The press center will be operational until 23.00. As the Brdo press center is smaller than the central press center at Cankarjev dom in Ljubljana, we request that all journalists who do not need to file their reports immediately would travel back with the bus to Ljubljana to the Cankarjev dom press center.
